A blog on Family, Relationships, Personal Finance, Business, Investments and more!
So, I looked and listened to our first anniversary video collage:
Result?
I end up missing him more…
I just noticed on the date today, it’s already the 27th! And I looked on the day I started with my 30-day blog challenge, which was on the 5th. So, shouldn’t it be that I’m already on the Day 22 of my 30-day blog challenge???
Naah…
hehe… I have totally forgotten about the day – wherein I am being occupied by work and other related topics that I free flowingly write on. One of the things that I recently spend time on is photography. Just this Saturday, I got a chance to have my first photography class – to know more about my camera features (apperture, shutter speed, lighting, the likes).
Some of my shots are:
Aherm.
Keep learning and keep moving forward!

Alright..fine. I’m taking my diet seriously NOW. If then, I really don’t care am not conscious about this whole dieting that my friends keep on talking about even way back college days, now I am taking action to get my slim body back! (And it’s really serious.) [ows?]
Yeah, I have to… being that this is also one of the plans I look forward to accomplish for the next 365 days (I wrote it here.) Just tonight, I downloaded from Android market My Fitness Pal, it is a free application to keep track our calorie intake and provide us a diary diet to check if we are on track with our desired weight.
The application is very easy to use. Before the final stage of signing up an account with them, it will ask you questions such as your desired goal weight, your height, age, PLUS it has gazillions of food that you can research on, which can easily provide you with the corresponding calories.
Debt management or getting out of debt is one of the firsts to do’s in making one’s personal finance better. For the last couple of months, I have heard of friends who are down with debt and are troubled on how they can make both ends meet. As they say, never pay a debt with another debt, otherwise you will just end up yourself circling around in just the same roller-coaster ride.
Increase your cash flows
Increasing our cash flows is a first step to pay off debts. How? There are a number of simple ways, like getting into sideline business (ie: prepaid e-load cards), part-time jobs, the likes.
Your additional cash flows can be used either to:
Building trust by paying your debts
Let me focus on the bullet #4, which is to pay-off debts. Most of the time, people tend to “forget” the debts that they owe to other person when they have enough cash on hand –which will really create a bad impression because this means that you are not trustworthy enough to give the money back to the one who lends you during those time you need it most.
Trust, in every relationship, (yes even in debtor-lender relationship) plays an important role. You may have money now, but there comes a point that when you’re in the brink of needing extra cash again, nobody will lend you because you were not faithful enough to pay it then. Do you think you will be able to borrow money again? I doubt it.
Excited to be in London next week! ^_^
I pray:
By the way, here are a few bits of my London escapade taken over 9 months ago, a day before the Royal Wedding last April 2011:
More pics coming up! \(“,)/

Yes.
..and Yes.
- - - - -
I never want to elaborate further because they are part of my past now.
Just learn from them.
Answer: World Peace.
..and it’s not just a Miss Universe answer. It really is what I am wishing for. ^_^
I am pro-peace – because it is priceless.
No sleeping pills can tantamount to having a peaceful mind at night.
It calms the heart of people living in war zones – no bullets to fear of, that will strike their homes at night.
No cries at night. No fear for the future. No families that will be deprived of a loved one.
With peace, there will be more laughters. More fun. More joys. More hope.
It’s pretty obvious. I can’t live without…who?!?! :p
It sums up with relationships, really.
For a month now, I am browsing through each chapter, reading and re-reading and getting the best thoughts and great words I am learning from one of my first financial mentors: Robert Kiyosaki.
The thing/event that will happen to me in a span of an hour from now would already be a future, isn’t it? [hahaha, pilosopa lng.] So that means I am asleep and in dreamland already. Hahahaha!
Seriously (eherm), I believe that when we say “future” here, we refer to a longer timeframe, say 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or 50 years from now, right? Uhm…
Here is my list for the future:
I’m glad to be back in my own apartment and in my own room. I wake up early today and wait for the sunrise and go out of the neighborhood to take some great photos. ^_^
Here they are:
Keep learning and keep moving forward!

“Winners are planners.” – Bo Sanchez
Finally! My favorite day that I am looking forward to write something down to.
My hopes, dreams and plans for the next 365 days:
Last November, I received a notification from Bo Sanchez via the Truly Rich Club that as a member, I am given the privilege to have his newest book, How to Prosper, for FREE! Yey! _(“,)/
This January, in time for Bo’s Overhaul series during the Feast, he announced to the public of the launching of this book. A week after that, my younger brother informed me of the arrival of the FREE book through LBC delivery in our hometown in Bacolod City. And since I am out of the country, I asked my brother to scan every page so I can read them. Hahaha! Thanks, bunso! :)
I am still in the first few pages of this book. In every page, I am again moved and inspired towards achieving my dreams and plans in life. Bo’s simple practical ways of delivering his message through this book always get my full attention. The best is that I am able to put into action the message I’ve learned in his every book. He is my mentor. He does not know it, yet, but I will let him know, in the coming days. =)
If you also want to enjoy the same benefits, you can join us and be part of the Truly Rich Club. Just click on the link below.
I want to join Bo Sanchez’ Truly Rich Club :)
The benefits of being a member is being detailed on the webpage. I am part of it for 10 months now, and through the guidance of the group, I am able to manage my finances, spiritual life, family, relationships and the best of all, I have blessed people abundantly. The best benefit of being a TRC member is that we are also able to help out with the ministries of the Light of Jesus Community. :)
Keep learning and keep moving forward!

I was having thoughts if I have to show or post this one. But then, since this is a challenge I set for myself, take a pik-a-boo what’s inside my handbag:
It’s still Valentines Day here.. I still got 6 hours before the clock hits midnight. What to do?
Due to the nature of my job, I am “thrown” in a far-away state so I got no familiar face to spend Valentines here.
At the other side of the world naman, it’s the wee hours in the morning in Philippines so I got no one to talk to or chat to, as well. *ngiawks*
I...
..
. . . overdo, over-use and over-abuse my body capacity and braincells. D nman pinoy henyo. Hehe... It's just what they often say: "The mind is willing but the body is weak," which I do not apply to myself often.
Due to my hyper-active over-energized personality, I forgot to listen to my body needs and still push myself even when I'm already tired & sleepy. Result: sick-ish. :'(
Just like right now. I requested to be out from work an hour early and be back here at the hotel to take enough rest, because my head's exploding due to headache, my eyes are tired, shortness of breathe, swollen throat and warm body temperature.
Hope to be better tomorrow.

Finally, she agreed to be called MINE!!!! ^_^
At a freezing cold temperature of negative 4 degrees today, our paths crossed again. And finally, she agreed to be part of my life. (Hahaha!)
We are still getting to know each other tonight. :P (aka: I’m still reading the manual of my new baby camera.) Yipeeee! \(“,)/
Words and arts would sometimes not be enough to describe in detail how I want my dream house to be. (Oh well, the important thing for me is always no matter what or where the house I lived in, it will be called a home, a place where my family, my kids, grandchildren and great nth grandchildren will always look forward to go back to.). :)
To be honest, this one is tough.
Let us defined first what OCD means.
OCD, which is known as obsessive-compulsive disorder, is an anxiety disorder (oh no!) in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, obsessions, or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions). Source: Wikipedia
Waaaaaaaaaah..!
Just got back tonight at my hotel room after chillin’ out with some of the Filipinos here at the state where I am currently on audit fieldwork. Being with them and speaking Tagalog make home just a few distance away. (Dear Friday, please come soon. I want to fly back to my own roooom!) ^_^
For my 3rd day of my 30-day blog challenge, my non-digital over a decade ago pictures are all back home in the Philippines (I’m thinking of putting in our picture during our senior graduation ball, because it was taken exactly 10 years ago, but I can’t find them.) I just scanned through the album of one of my high school friends and grab our picture during our graduation day, when we were sweet sixteen. :)
Doing my Day 2 challenge is quite challenging as provided by this 30-day blog challenge. [So challenge-ful, huh.] :P
When I woke up this morning, I was already thinking what things I will list down as my most favorite, but nadah. I found it hard to filter - given that I almost make everything my favorite! As long as a thing gives me joy, it becomes my favorite. And even in small things, I can always see joy. [I’m mumbling, I know. This is the second paragraph now that I used the same words in every sentence.] ^_^
Without further ado, these are my top 20 favorite things, in random order:
It’s already the start of the 2nd week of February and honestly, I have not yet made my resolutions for this year. All the planning I made are still on my mind – the words are waiting for me to jot them down. I will make one pretty soon. :) For now, I want to share this video to everyone:
The temperature ranges from 2 to 5 degrees this Sunday noon time. Since the sun is out and we want to catch some sunrays, my flatmate (Mitch) and I decided to go out of our room, while bringing our laptops with us. Haha! =D
Uhm… err… uhmmm…
Since it is the month of February and the month of L-O-V-E…. I just want to know if…
After months (or years?) of laying my Multiply account to the drain, I decided to check on it and re-read the Multiply account of my friend EClaire (we’ve been friends since elementary). Sorry, I would not post the link of her blog due to respect of privacy on her part.
Anyway, I read that she wrote about the 30-day blog challenge, and decided that I also join the game so I would be *encouraged* to update my blogsite daily. ^_^
I am part of the Wednesday homegroup (aka: Bible study) here at our place. Since I am currently outside the state for my fieldwork, we opted to do Skype video conferencing while I’m here at the hotel, so I can still be part of the homegroup (aka: sharing God’s words). There was internet connection error, but still we managed to put me through by calling me up. (Thank you, friends!) ^_^
Our topic this Wednesday night was about the Purpose #5: Serving God through Ministry from Rick Warren’s Purpose Driven Life book. This Wednesday night, I learned about the ways on how to serve God through His ministry (aka: church, people, community) through the use of our SHAPE! [body figure?!!]
What is S-H-A-P-E?
On the day that I created this personal site, Lyn-Lyn’s: Living the Life, I also created another blogsite to record the wonderful amazing places in the Philippines. The low fares offered by our domestic airlines have made it possible for every Juan to explore our beloved country’s tourist destinations. Check out my Philippine travel website at: iHeartPilipinas.blogspot.com.
See you there!
Keep learning and keep moving forward!
Cheers,
