Recently, I have discovered the user-friendly way (for me) on making data analysis and sound decisions with regard to stock investing in the Philippines using the Financial Times.
The FT.com (aka: Financial Times) is a leading finance newspaper website here in London. The information on the website are free, though there are specific information/articles that can only be accessed if you annually subscribe to it.
How to Find a Stock Quote in Ft.com
Go to the upper right hand corner of the website. Let's take BPI as our example. Type BPI:PHS on the Search field. Always ensure to type in ":PHS" after the stock quote because this determines its specific stock market location. There are other BPI stock quote in other locations which pertain to different listed entities.
Press Enter, and voilah! We got below the summary of the stock quote of BPI for today.
If we click on the other tabs, such as in the Forecast tab, we can also monitor the graphs of BPI, information from stock market analysts such as Reuters and Bloomberg, decisions whether to buy/hold/sell, past performance history, dividends and earnings, and share price forecast.
